During the NFL season, performance marketing toolkits need powerful strategies to score touchdowns.
When E.& J. Gallo Winery partnered with the Fetch app, they knew consumers needed a compelling reason to choose their products while shopping – especially during football games, when wine, beer and spirits brands are in competition for premium shelf space.
Throughout playoff season and in the run-up to the Superbowl, the brand created targeted offers in the Fetch app to drive brand awareness for Barefoot, a part of the E. & J. Gallo Winery portfolio and the Official Wine Sponsor of the NFL.
The wine brand enticed buyers with more than offers to reward purchasing their products. Barefoot worked with the platform to send co-branded media blasts, like personalized emails, branded in-app banners and messages delivered to the Fetch mobile inbox. By leveraging the full power of the Fetch app, Barefoot got their products in front of the right people at the right time: known spirits and wine consumers stopping by their favorite retailer before the big game.
This football season, Barefoot ensured wine lovers didn’t have to settle for the traditional Superbowl beer selection. They provided valuable incentives, including in-app offers and a branded Sweepstakes, to give buyers a reason to celebrate kick-off with their favorite glass of wine.
The Barefoot x NFL activation demonstrates the Fetch app’s ability to maximize high-visibility events, like the Superbowl, for a brand partner’s benefit. While we’re known for points-driven in-app offers, we also give brand partners a suite of tools they can use to alert Fetch shoppers. From marketing communications to branded sweepstakes, partners like Barefoot have a variety of methods to reach their intended audience – all within the app.
