Fetch x Banza: Driving sales and turning pasta browsers into first-time buyers

trends & insights July 29, 2026

A strategic Offer mix helped Banza move units, bring a wave of new buyers into the brand, and grow spend among existing shoppers.

Winning new buyers in a habit-driven category

Dry pasta is a staple that most shoppers toss in their carts. As a pantry essential, it has a lot of utility – which means it takes more than a good product to disrupt established purchasing habits.

For Banza, that habit was a growth opportunity.

The brand partnered with Fetch, an outcomes-based ads platform, to drive sales, move units, and grow its buyer base. The result: $652K in sales, over 6x ROAS, and 73% of buyers new to the brand.

A two-audience growth strategy

Fetch built the campaign around the two audiences most likely to drive sales — new-to-Banza buyers and known brand shoppers. Each received an Offer designed to either encourage trial or increase spend per visit.

  • Non-Brand Buyers: Shoppers who hadn’t purchased Banza in the last three months received a Buy 1 Offer — a low-barrier entry point designed to drive first-time trial.
  • Brand Buyers: Existing Banza shoppers received a Spend $10 Offer, encouraging them to deepen their relationship with the brand and increase basket size.

By focusing the campaign on driving trial and increasing spend, Fetch helped Banza grow with new and existing shoppers — delivering more sales, more buyers, and bigger baskets.

Bringing new habits to the pasta aisle

By pairing audience-specific rewards with clear purchase thresholds, Banza’s campaign gave each consumer segment a personalized reason to choose the brand. The result was strong acquisition among new-to-brand buyers and increased spend among existing shoppers.

Banza x Fetch Case Study - Results

The non-brand buyer Offer brought in 62K new buyers, and brand buyers who engaged spent 86% more per visit. By rewarding trial and higher spend, Fetch helped Banza turn a habit-driven category into a growth opportunity.
